OUR STORY

Send Us International was born out of a simple prayer and a burden that wouldn't let go.

In 2019, Philip Raeburn went to Panama for the first time. What he found were pastors working bi-vocationally; holding down jobs just to keep their churches alive and faithfully serving communities that most people don't want to go near. Especially in the Darién region, where the jungle is thick, the need is deep, and the laborers are few.

He kept going back. And through prayer, God kept directing him to these same pastors, these same churches and not as a visitor passing through, but as a long-term partner. The relationships deepened. The calling clarified.

"And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?' Then I said, 'Here I am! Send me.'" Isaiah 6:8

In 2024, Send Us International was launched, not to build something new from scratch, but to formalize what God had already been doing for years. A network of faithful local churches in Panama. Pastors who had been planting and watering long before Send Us existed. Communities ready for the harvest.

Panama is a country of extraordinary diversity and a crossroads of cultures, languages, and peoples. The Emberá, the Kuna, the communities of the Pacific coast and the Caribbean islands. Beautiful people loved by God, deserving of the gospel and the support of the global church.

We believe God is at work in Panama. We believe the local church is His instrument. And we believe He is calling people from the United States and beyond and to come alongside that work.

That is why Send Us exists.
